News & Announcements

MID is there
Our community is working through unprecedented and difficult times. MID has taken steps to help protect our community and employees while ensuring the uninterrupted delivery of agricultural water and electricity. As we collectively face these challenges together, you can count on Merced Irrigation District: MID is there.

Help with your bills
It is well understood that many of our electric customers are experiencing hardships right now. We’re here to help. MID will take no action to shut off electricity for non-payment at this time. However, customers are ultimately responsible for their bills. Those facing difficulty paying are encouraged to contact MID Customer Service to discuss payment options.

What we’re doing
Long before coronavirus, Merced Irrigation District placed a significant focus on the health and safety of our community and our employees.

To help prevent the spread of coronavirus, MID has temporarily closed its front office to the public and is encouraging the community to pay bills and order water deliveries by phone or online. The District has taken significant actions to disperse our employees in support of social distancing efforts while ensuring water and power operations continue uninterrupted.

MID has a long and proud history of partnering with our community. From supporting local agricultural education to promoting renewable energy, we have consistently been there. Until further notice, MID has curtailed involvement in any public events or community outreach.

MID intends to provide uninterrupted service while keeping you informed. Please visit this page often for important updates and follow MID on social media. If you have not already done so please click here to sign up for MID newsletters.
