MID Reports From The Field

Merced Irrigation District relies on and maintains more than 800 miles of canals, pipelines, ditches and local waterways in eastern Merced County. Serving approximately 2,200 growers, MID works hard, year-round, to maintain and repair its aging system. MID has a long-term capital improvement program, the Water Resources Management Plan, intended to modernize District water conveyance facilities, improve service to growers as they transition to low-volume pressure irrigation methods and to conserve water in Lake McClure.
